SDGs

Our contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals

SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy

Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all.

Through our commitment to the goal of “Climate Neutrality,” we aim to contribute to targets 7.2, 7.3, and 7.a. In particular, we take action on multiple fronts. On one hand, we source energy from renewable sources—both by purchasing certified renewable electricity from the grid, progressively increasing its share, and through self-generation, by expanding and enhancing the photovoltaic system installed at our Verolanuova facility.

On the other hand, we actively contribute to this goal through our products, which are designed to promote the use of renewable energy in buildings. Solutions such as high-efficiency heat pumps, integrated photovoltaic systems, and smart energy management technologies enable our customers to reduce energy consumption from fossil fuels and accelerate the decarbonization of the construction sector—one of the most impactful areas in terms of climate change.

In this way, we contribute not only to internal transformation but also to the widespread adoption of more sustainable residential and industrial models.

SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth

Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.

At e.group, we are committed to actively contributing to targets 8.1, 8.2, 8.4, and 8.8, in line with the initiatives we have developed and the commitments we have defined to pursue our purpose of “people’s well-being.”

Our key actions in this direction include promoting workplace flexibility through the development and adoption of smart working, as well as strengthening corporate welfare through performance-based bonuses and the creation of a new welfare plan co-designed with our employees, aligned with their needs and expectations.

Another important contribution lies in our ongoing commitment to employee growth—not only professionally but also personally—by investing in training programs that go beyond mandatory requirements.

SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

Build resilient infrastructure and promote inclusive, responsible, and sustainable industrialization and innovation.

In addition to developing internal management systems aimed at reducing environmental impact and collaborating with our supply chain to promote best practices, we have implemented significant improvements at the production level. In particular, the introduction of a MES (Manufacturing Execution System) allows us to monitor and optimize efficiency, quality, and energy consumption in real time across our industrial processes.

We have also enhanced our production capacity through technological solutions designed to balance performance and environmental sustainability—delivering only the energy strictly required for each process, while increasing energy efficiency and reducing losses.

SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities

Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.

In pursuing our goals of “Climate Neutrality” and “people’s well-being,” we are committed to supporting target 11.4 of the SDGs, with a focus on the conservation and protection of cultural heritage. Our products stand out for their effectiveness in energy retrofitting, improving indoor comfort while reducing energy consumption. Professionals involved in the renovation of historic buildings—such as churches, homes, and heritage sites—face complex challenges in balancing the preservation of artistic value with the modernization of infrastructure, particularly when it comes to climate systems.

A key advantage of our underfloor heating systems is their ability to minimize convective air movement, thereby reducing dust dispersion and maintaining stable environmental conditions. This is especially important in historic and religious buildings, where fluctuations in temperature and humidity can damage artworks and valuable decorations. The absence of dust accumulation also helps preserve their integrity over time.

It is worth noting that, in the context of energy retrofitting, significant improvements in building efficiency can be achieved through interventions focused solely on system upgrades, without the need to alter façades or structural elements.

We also contribute to target 11.6 by reducing the per capita environmental impact of cities, particularly in terms of air quality. This is achieved not only by improving indoor environments through advanced air treatment systems, but also by significantly lowering building energy consumption, resulting in reduced CO₂ emissions into the atmosphere.

SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production

Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.

In pursuing our goal of “innovative and healthy products,” we are committed to contributing to targets 12.2, 12.5, 12.6, 12.7, and 12.8. These targets are closely linked to our core business: our products are designed to offer more energy-efficient alternatives through the use of innovative technologies.

These solutions are the result of continuous research into efficient products and systems, designed as part of an integrated approach where each component works together to achieve optimal indoor comfort, maximum energy savings, and improved well-being through healthier environments.

In addition, our radiant systems are designed for an exceptionally long lifecycle. They are intended to be installed within buildings and remain in operation throughout their entire lifespan. This feature significantly reduces overall environmental impact by minimizing the need for frequent replacements and lowering end-of-life waste—fully aligned with the principles of circular economy and sustainability.

SDG 13 – Climate Action

Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.

We are committed to contributing to targets 13.2 and 13.3 of the UN 2030 Agenda through our goal of “Climate Neutrality.” To this end, we have joined initiatives aimed at reducing both the direct and indirect environmental impact of our organization, such as CO2alition Italy and Alto Adige Pedala.

We have also committed to developing a monitoring system for energy consumption and related emissions, enabling us to set short-term reduction targets. In line with this objective, we have already implemented several efficiency measures, including upgrading machinery and optimizing internal processes—such as adopting digital systems to reduce paper consumption and lower associated emissions.

SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals

Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.

In line with the overarching purpose that guides our actions toward systemic and inclusive transformation, we pursue target 17.17 by promoting effective partnerships among public institutions, private organizations, and civil society.

We actively collaborate with research institutions, universities, industry associations, and climate coalitions to develop innovative solutions in the fields of energy, environment, and social impact, fostering multi-stakeholder partnerships that are both effective and impact-driven.

These synergies enable us to amplify the impact of our initiatives, share knowledge and best practices, and contribute to a business and social ecosystem oriented toward sustainable development. For us, partnerships are not only an operational tool but a strategic lever to create shared value, accelerate the ecological transition, and build inclusive and resilient growth models.
